My birthday party

On the 19th of April my friends Theo, Caspar, Maddy, Luke, Toby, Ben and Daniel came for my 10th birthday party! We had borrowed a wii and we all played on it while we were waiting for Theo, Caspar and Maddy because they were going to be late because they live in the country. The games that the wii came with were Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Tiger Woods PGA tour, wii play and wii sports. Dad also went to the games shop and got Pirates of the Caribbean. Before Theo and Caspar arrive we had lunch with barbequed burgers, hot dogs and fizzy drinks and chocolate cake. When they arrived they had lunch while we kept on playing on the wii. When they finished we all went up to my room to play for a little bit. When they were playing in my room I went down to Mum and asked her if I could give out the prizes. So we all went back down and played on the wii so everyone won a prize. Theo got some lego, Toby got a spy pen, I got an action figure and Louis got a remote control car. After we gave out the prizes we played on the wii again until the mums and dads of my friends came to pick them up. Theo and Caspar were not going to be picked up because they and their parents were going to stay for a sleepover. When all my other friends had left we went to the queens bowling place and played bowling. Caspar won both times in the kids lane and Mum won both times in the grown ups lane but Dad did have a big cut in his finger. The bowling was very fun and I was actually quite good at it. After the bowling we went to a chinese restaurant for supper my favourite food was the duck pancakes. After supper we caught a taxi back home I was allowed to open one present from my friends I opened Theo and CAspars's present I got a Tamagochi Familichi and some Yu-Gi-Oh cards. After I had opened my presents we all brushed our teeth and went to bed. I really enjoyed my party and I really liked playing on the wii. I am not really ten yet I am ten on the 21st which is astounding that I have lived for a whole decade.

Children of the Caribbean

On Saturday we took a taxi to Gatwick airport to catch a plane to the BVI (British Virgin Islands). After our first night in the boat our skipper came to sail with us. A few minutes after he arrived we left for Norman Island where we stayed for our first night. The next island that we went to was Jost Van Dyke to go to the Soggy Dollar Bar for lunch. The Soggy Dollar Bar is named because you have to swim to get there and by the time you've reached the bar all your dollars are soggy. Then we went to Great Harbour for the night. The next day we went to Green Cay and Sandy Cay which Dad called 'God's own Island' and then we went to Cane Garden Bay for the night.

Next day we set off to Marina Cay via Monkey point where me and Dad went snorkelling, we saw a huge fish and a fish that looked like a Barracuda. When we arrived at Marina Cay we had lunch at Pussers Bar. They were the people who supplied the British Navy during its Rum ration. We stayed there for the night. The next day we headed off to Virgin Gorda via lunch at Little Dix Bay which was a very expensive hotel. When we got to Little Dix Bay we saw that our really really old friends Tom and Harry, who were my friends before I started this blog, were staying there. On the way to Virgin Gorda there was a thunder storm and me, Louis and Mum went inside while Roy and Dad got soaked. The next day we went to Cooper Island via the Baths which is famous for its snorkelling. When Dad had got back from his snorkelling we all went to the beach and stayed there for a long time until it was time to go back to the boat.

The last day of sailing we headed to Dead Man's Bay on Peter Island and had lunch at another fancy hotel. After we motored to Trellis Bay where we had an enormous supper at the Loose Mongoose. The next day we left early to the airport to catch a flight to Antigua where we were going to stay for six hours at a really nice hotel. After the six hours we went to the Antigua airport and caught a Virgin Atlantic flight back to London.

I really liked the sailing holiday and maybe one day I would like to go sailing in the Caribbean again. There were lots of other sailing boats and at one time the beach was so crowded there was not one buoy left to use. I really like the snorkelling and we saw lots of interesting fish - Dad saw a turtle and a nurse shark and I saw the big fish and the fish that looked like a barracuda. Overall I really really enjoyed my holiday and I think the Caribbean is a really fun place with lots of beaches. Daddy is going to take me there again to teach me how to dive.
